(More customer reviews)This item should be labelled a 'kit,' not just 'chair.' I have put many things together(TV carts, entertainment centers, single Adirondack chairs,etc), but this item was truly a challenge. If you are thinking of purchasing this, please note that it will arrive in a long, narrow rectangular box. No 2 pieces are pre-attached. There is no actual photo with the instructions, just sectional drawings.I had to keep referring to the picture that I saved from the AMAZON website. After spending several hours trying to put this product together, I decided that MORE predrilled holes would have been helpful. The kit starts with the 3 braces on the bottom, and then the 'seat' slats are done. My 'downfall' was the back brace, and getting the back slats and end pieces done. This is not a project to do alone, unless you do this kind of work regularly. Unfortunately, as I write this, the chair is half done, and needs to be readjusted. At least I knew when I was beat, and stopped before doing any more damage. Hopefully, I can stroke my husband's ego by having him redo my last attempt and make the chair truly functional. For the price of the chair, I think it should have been assembled to a degree before being shipped out. As it is, be mindful that you will be starting from 'scratch.'
