(More customer reviews)I'm an average sized person, not too tall (5'5") and this butterfly chair managed to be simultaneously too small and too big. The back simply isn't high enough to relax (unless maybe for a little kid?) The chair is tilted back, so you're forced to lean backwards with nowhere to rest your head. Feels horrible to have all that neck strain while "reclining."
The other major design flaw is the height. When seated, my feet don't reach the floor, so my legs are dangling over a taught cord underneath the back of my knees. Ouch. This forces my legs together by the higher outside corners of the front of the chair. This makes it feel like the chair is trying to fold in on me, swallowing me whole like a bug in a venus flytrap.
I bought it thinking it would be a comfy reading chair by the fireplace but still easy to pack and move...but a pillow on the floor works better than this disaster.
