(More customer reviews)I understand this is very inexpensive, but the quality is not there either. The box came in good shape - not damaged. Chairs were pulled out, and looked at for 5 mins, then set on the floor and moved around for another 5 mins. At this point one screw that holds the seat to the frame came out and fell on the floor.
There are obvious design flaws:
1) there are no support braces front to back, so I do not expect these to last too long, especially if an adult decides to sit down on this.
2) screws not secure - especially the ones that attach the seat itself. The seat plywood is about half inch thick, you cant reliably screw in it, you have to screw through it into the frame.
3) the ergonomics of the contour feature - they just make it worse, the seat recess does not line up with the back incline angle so if the child rests on the back for too long, he/she will develop spine/posture problems.
Otherwise the materials and finish look good. If these were a bit sturdier and did not have misaligned contour recesses, I would give this 5 stars.
I like the materials so will strengthen the design a bit by using good precision screws and glue and may be some support braces.
Would recommend only if you are handy and can enhance the quality as a little DIY project.
